Requirements for Beneficiaries
To benefit from this support, companies must fall into the category of "enterprises of any form and size, not in crisis". Furthermore, it is required that the beneficiary has filed at least two financial statements related to two complete fiscal years or presented the UNICO form of the last two fiscal years. Such beneficiaries must be located in Italy and must not operate in the agricultural sector, slaughterhouses, banking, or insurance. It is crucial that the activities are eligible for support from InvestEU.
Eligible Projects
The goals of the eligible projects focus on international expansion through various activities. These include the opening of new facilities abroad, such as stores, commercial spaces, showrooms, and offices. The enhancement of existing structures is also allowed, provided they are not stores and certain conditions are met. In addition, eligible expenses for investments in the structure, personnel expenses, and support for the application presentation are foreseen.
Funding Process
The support offers a combination of non-repayable grant and subsidized financing. Companies can request up to 10% non-repayable, with a maximum of €100,000, based on criteria such as ISO certification, innovation, and exports. The minimum amount of the intervention is €10,000, while the maximum amount is limited, both in fixed figures and in relation to the average revenues of the last two financial statements.
Examination and Disbursement
Applications are evaluated in chronological order and there are no defined examination deadlines. Outcomes are generally communicated within a few months of the application submission. The disbursement of the facilitated intervention occurs in a maximum of two tranches, with a percentage disbursed within 30 days of fulfilling the suspensive conditions of the contract of signing and the balance of the accounted eligible expenses within four months of the conclusion of the project.
