Eligible Expenses
The expenses that can benefit from the tax credit include costs related to training personnel, training participants, and activities related to the training project
The eligible expenses that can benefit from the tax credit include various categories of costs. These costs encompass personnel expenses related to trainers and participants in training activities. Additionally, eligible are operating costs directly related to the training project, such as travel expenses, materials, supplies, and the depreciation of tools and equipment used exclusively for the training project. Accommodation expenses are excluded, except for minimal ones necessary for participants with disabilities. Furthermore, among the eligible expenses are the costs of consulting services related to the training project, as well as indirect overhead costs like administrative expenses, rent, and general expenses.
How to Apply
Submitting an application to the New Skills Fund involves sending a single request containing a training project.
Each employer can submit a single request with a single training project. Only in cases where the training involves multiple categories of workers (managers and non-managers) and the reference interprofessional funds are different, it will be possible to submit two separate projects to the Fund, always in a single application
Applications can be submitted from 11:00 AM on December 13, 2022, until February 28, 2023, and will be processed and funded in the chronological order of submission, subject to the availability of resources. Additional requests will be placed on a separate list and considered for evaluation only if new resources become available and are compatible with the required timelines for implementation and subsequent reporting.
The following information is required for the submission of applications:
- Employer's Personal Information
- Personal information of the training provider and of the entity that issues the certification of acquired skills, if different from the former.
- Collective Agreement for the Rescheduling of Working Hours
- Training Program
- Details of the involved workers (tax codes, number of hours of reduced working time for training, and the estimated cost of labor based on what is established by the decree and the notice).
The total contribution can reach a maximum of 10 million euros for each application. Training projects, with a duration ranging from 40 to 200 hours, can also be implemented in 2023. All training activities and related reporting must be completed within 150 days from the date of approval communication
