Purpose

Nidi supports New Business Initiatives located in Puglia with a Non-Repayable Grant and a Repayable Loan

The main purposes are as follows

  • Support for the establishment of new businesses.: The measure aims to support the establishment of new businesses within the Puglia Region.

  • Support for youth teams: Incentives and benefits to encourage young people to embark on entrepreneurial activities and start new businesses.

  • Support for women-owned businesses: Promotes women entrepreneurship, offering specific opportunities and incentives for women who wish to start new businesses

  • Support for tourism businessesThe measure also includes support for tourism businesses, recognizing the importance of the tourism sector for the economy of the Puglia Region

In the Puglia Region, the following entities are eligible for the benefit:

  1. Those who intend to start new businesses and have not yet established a company.
  2. Businesses established for less than 6 months
  3. Businesses, even if active for more than 6 months, that fall into one of the following categories:
  • Generational transition.
  • Takeover of businesses in crisis or businesses confiscated by employees
  • Social cooperatives awarded confiscated real estate assets
  • Beneficiaries of the 'PIN - Innovative Apulians' measure

New Business Initiatives must fall into one of the following categories, all related to the Puglia Region:

Youth Ventures: Companies formed entirely by individuals between 18 and 35 years of age at the date of the preliminary request, with at least 50% of the capital and members belonging to this age group. Members must not be employees of other companies with indefinite-term contracts exceeding 20 hours per week, retirees, or owners/administrators of other businesses

Women-Owned Businesses: Sole proprietorships or companies entirely owned by women over 18 years of age, with at least 50% of the capital and members belonging to this category. As in previous cases, members must not be employees of other companies with indefinite-term contracts exceeding 20 hours per week, retirees, or owners/administrators of other businesses.

New Businesses: Companies in which at least 50% of the capital and members are held by disadvantaged individuals who, at the time of submitting the preliminary application, fall into at least one of the following categories:

  • Young people aged between 18 and 35 years old.
  • Women over 18 years of age
  • Individuals who have not had subordinate employment relationships in the last month.
  • Individuals on the verge of losing their job
  • Individuals with a VAT number who are not registered in the Business Register and have issued invoices for an amount less than 15,000 Euros in the 12 months prior to the submission of the preliminary request.
  • Members who are workers and administrators of social cooperatives awarded confiscated real estate assets.
  • Members and administrators of companies formed in the form of a corporation who have joined the commitment and regulation of relationships within the project funded by the public notice 'PIN - Innovative Apulians'.

Tourism Businesses, which must meet the same requirements as New Businesses while having a presence in the tourism sector

The eligible investment expenses that can be financed include:

  • Purchase of production machinery, equipment, various assets, and commercial vehicles
  • Purchase of standard computer software (non-customized)
  • Expenses for construction works and similar activities

For Youth Ventures and Women-Owned Businesses, the following expenses are also eligible for financing:

  • Development of business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-customer (B2C) e-commerce platforms, as well as proprietary e-commerce systems and mobile applications, up to a maximum of €5,000

Tourism businesses must make investments in at least two of the following categories:

  • Technological tools related to the activity that aim to innovate organizational processes and services for guests
  • Development of mobile platforms and apps, including for online booking management, up to a maximum of €5,000.
  • Improvement of accessibility of the facility for people with disabilities.
  • Purchase of sustainable transportation means for guests.

For Tourism Businesses, expenses for construction and renovation works (including costs for fixtures, electrical systems, thermo-hydraulic systems, centralized air conditioning, telecommunications, telematics, energy production, pools, prefabricated and removable structures, and land development expenses) can be covered up to 20% of the eligible investment amount in other sectors

The eligible investment expenses that can be financed include:

  • Purchase of raw materials, semi-finished products, and consumables.
  • Rental of real estate or production equipment.
  • Utilities such as energy, water, heating, telephone, and internet network
  • Insurance premiums
  • Rent and subscriptions for access to databases, software services, cloud services, information services, hosting, domain registration, internet services, search engine optimization, online marketing campaign advertising space, website customization services acquired from software companies, IT consulting, and related services
  • Expenses for the purchase of personal and collective protective devices.

Form and Intensity of Incentives

  • Incentive equal to 100% for investments ranging from 10,000 to 50,000 euros
  • Incentive equal to 90% (100% for women-owned businesses) for investments ranging from 50,000 to 100,000 euros.
  • Incentive equal to 80% for investments ranging from 100,000 to 150,000 euros.

For

The incentive, a combination of grants (non-repayable funding) and subsidized loans, varies as the investment value increases

The incentive consists of:

• A grant (non-repayable contribution) equal to 50% of the total eligible investments.

- A repayable loan equal to 50% of the total eligible investments (reduced to 25% for Youth Ventures and Women-Owned Businesses).

For Youth Ventures and Women-Owned Businesses, assistance in the form of a repayable grant equal to 25% of the total eligible investments.

Management expenses are eligible for a 100% incentive up to a maximum of 10,000 euros. This maximum amount applies to each project.
